SWAT (Special Weapons And Tactics)
Established in 1992, Officers selected have or have prior specialized training and skills necessary to perform mission responsibilities and utilize a variety of specialized equipment to resolve high-risk situations like:
- Hostage rescue
- Fugitive pursuit
- Fortified position assaults
- Tactical Explosive Entry
- Personnel protection
- Sniper operations
Operator specialists may include:
- Breachers
- Assaulters
- Medics
- Snipers
- Rope Rescue
- Tactical (UAS) Air Operations Officers
